Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We currently have a position available for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic who is a motivated and professionally minded individual. We are seeking someone who can demonstrate that they are highly organised, well qualified and experienced in diesel mechanics. The successful applicant will work a FIFO 1:1 roster.
Responsibilities
- Conducting major and minor fault finding repairing and/or replacing as required on mobile crushing and screening plant, HME and light vehicles
- Keeping a clean & tidy work vehicle
- Working closely and communicating with managers
- Conducting risk assessments and checks on all vehicles and machines
- Detecting and diagnosing faults in parts and engines
Requirements
- Trade qualified diesel motor/heavy motor mechanic
- Physically fit, able to work in a variety of locations and a range of weather conditions
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize workload to ensure smooth running on operations
- Be able to diagnose issues and provide solutions
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Current driver’s license, police clearance and a valid white card
- Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Forklift license preferred
